The line-up for Lollapalooza was officially released this afternoon. This particular group of music festival organizers are having one hell of a run...
First, they thought it was a good idea to book the Eagles and Phish as headliners for Austin City Limits festival (which, if you didn't know, is put on by the same people who put on Lollapalooza). And now, they've decided to put Soundgarden and Arcade Fire up against each other on Saturday night at Lollapalooza. I understand that, when scheduling these festivals, conflicts are unavoidable. I understand that you could make the argument that these two bands attract slightly different festival go-ers. However, personally, I know if I were going, I wouldn't be happy about having to choose between the two. Still, even with that lack of harmony in the program, I'd trade the Lolla line-up for ACL in a heartbeat. I'm still mad about the Eagles.Check out the full Lollapalooza schedule at Stereogum.
