Worth a listen: @Gayngs

Distinguished as a "musical super-family" on their record label Jagjaguar's website, Gayngs consists of a swarm of Minneapolis-based musicians that I honestly can't say I know a great deal about. I just know that their album is something appealing. Check out the lead track 'The Gaudy Side of Town' off Relayted which came out earlier this month.

Coachella: What day has the best line-up?

Frightened

I'm not even going, but I'm excited for anyone who is. At first glance, Sunday looks the strongest to me - citing: Gorillaz, Thom Yorke, Sly Stone, Sunny Day Real Estate, The Big Pink, Spoon, and kicking things off with Local Natives.

Band that got the rawest deal on their time slot: Frightened Rabbit (photo above), 2:30 in the afternoon on Saturday on the outside stage. Steamy.

@LocalNatives debut album Gorilla Manor out today...

Local-natives_gorilla-manor_hi

Their much anticipated, debut full-length Gorilla Manor hits U.S. shelves today.

Pitchfork gave it an 8.4 (out of 10). What does that mean? To quote Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez: "Now we can play forever." (Or at least tour for like three years.)

I saw this band three times at CMJ last year. I highly recommend this band. Get Gorilla Manor on vinyl here.
