MGMT, a fall from grace

Lot of MGMT news on the internet today.

The bad news: Their sh#t new album Congratulations is streaming today. I read an article in Spin about a year ago that talked about how Andrew VAnWyngarden had gotten really into partying with fashion models and inhaling copious amounts of Makers Mark. At first listen, I can't help but wonder if going rock star blew the song writing on the new record. Still, people will probably talk a lot about it - what do you think is the wackiest song? - and that will drum up interest. They'll be fine.

The good news: You can hear a really well done cover of MGMT's great song "Time To Pretend" by Sigur Ros' lead singer Jonsi at Stereogum.
