I don't feel as bad that I'm missing Lollapalooza

Soundgarden

The line-up for Lollapalooza was officially released this afternoon. This particular group of music festival organizers are having one hell of a run...

First, they thought it was a good idea to book the Eagles and Phish as headliners for Austin City Limits festival (which, if you didn't know, is put on by the same people who put on Lollapalooza).  And now, they've decided to put Soundgarden and Arcade Fire up against each other on Saturday night at Lollapalooza.

I understand that, when scheduling these festivals, conflicts are unavoidable. I understand that you could make the argument that these two bands attract slightly different festival go-ers. However, personally, I know if I were going, I wouldn't be happy about having to choose between the two.

Still, even with that lack of harmony in the program, I'd trade the Lolla line-up for ACL in a heartbeat. I'm still mad about the Eagles.

H/T Consequence of Sound. Well done.

Here's who I got before I found this:

Soundgarden (easy)
Spoon (really easy)

Other thoughts:

If you were hoping to see any band whose name starts with O, I hate to burst your bubble.

For some reason, anything with a double-O that I couldn't get was driving me crazy.

I'm not going to Lollapalooza, so I haven't really been paying attention to when the line-up was going to be announced. However, if I was going to go and had been gearing up for the line-up announcement, only to get this, I'd think that was pretty sinister.

Hence, posting this for the good people planning on attending.
